Traffic field

With the rapid development of China's economy and the enlargement of city scale, all kinds of traffic demand, intelligent transportation system (also known as the "intelligent transportation system", Intelligent Transportation Systems, ITS), has been widely applied and rapid development. Vehicle detection technology is an important part of the intelligent transportation system, intelligent traffic management to traffic information collected by vehicle detection objectively and effectively, get traffic flow, vehicle speed, road occupancy, vehicle spacing, vehicle type and other basic data, thus to realize monitoring, control, analysis, decision making, and scheduling counseling and other means of wisdom.

Application of frequency modulation continuous wave (FMCW) microwave detection technology and high speed digital signal processing (DSP) technology in traffic information detection radar. This series of products can also detect regional resolution multi lane, and different types of models, and calculate the vehicle speed, traffic and other information, can be used in the intelligent traffic management system, to the city traffic road, to provide the best management accurate and reliable. Intelligent traffic management and road traffic flow detection is also suitable for highway, urban roads, highways, tunnels, bridges and so on the outskirts, the use of a wide range of space and field utilization, can adapt to the harsh environment, provide real-time weather information for road.

Brake Auxiliary System EBA

The brake auxiliary system includes Electronic Braking Auxiliary (EBA) and Braking Force Auxiliary (“BA” also called “BAS”) and it can increase brake force in an emergency through judging driver brake behavior (strength and speed) to shorten brake distance.  Advantages of the system are more obvious especially for seniors and drivers whose ankles and legs are not powerful enough.

In case of unsafe distances, even if the driver has no time to brake, the emergency brake auxiliary system can automatically brake early.

Blindness Detecting System BSM

Due to visual blindness in the rearview mirror of an automobile, it is impossible to see vehicle in the blind-spot before changing lanes. Therefore, changing lanes may lead to a collision. In case of heavy rain, heavy fog or at night under dim lighting conditions, it is more difficult to see rear vehicles and changing lanes is more dangerous but the blind-spot detection system is developed to deal with such blindness in the rearview mirror.

The blindness detecting system, also called lane change assist system, BSM or BLIS for short, is a safety high-tech configuration in an automobile and its main function is to rectify blindness in rearview mirrors and warn the driver through microwave radar detecting overtaking vehicles in rearview mirrors on both sides of the vehicle. This is to avoid accidents during changing lanes due to blindness in the rearview mirror. At present, many vehicle models on the market are provided with blindness detecting functions.

Forward Collision Warning System FCW

Forward Collision Warning (FCW) is able to consistently supervise forward vehicles through radar, and judge distance, orientation and relative speed between the vehicle and forward vehicles, warning the driver in case of potential collision. FCW cannot brake to avoid collision or control the vehicle. Automobile brands with such technology include Infiniti, Volvo, Benz, Toyota, etc.

Auto-adaptive Cruise Control System ACC

Auto-adaptive cruise control system (ACC) is an automobile function which allows a vehicle cruise control system to adapt to traffic conditions by adjusting speed. The radar mounted in the front of a vehicle is used to detect whether there is any vehicle driving more slowly on the road ahead. In case of any vehicle driving more slowly, ACC system will slow down and control distance to the forward vehicle or time slot. In case of no other vehicle driving on the road in front of the vehicle, the system will speed up to the set speed. Such operation realizes it must automatically slow down or speed up without the driver’s operation. ACC controls speed mainly by controlling engine throttle and braking.
